October 3, 2008 West Liberty Foods Announces Completion of the Tremonton Facility Expansion
Just one year following the opening of the company’s fourth facility, West Liberty, IA based West Liberty Foods, L.L.C. has completed Phase II of its Tremonton, Utah facility. The expansion was necessitated to accommodate recent growth in both the IQF side as well as the slicing operation. The 24,000 square foot IQF addition features a replica of the initial line that became operational September 2007. The slicing expansion utilizes an existing interior shell, dividing it into 5 single cell slice lines. Another key item of interest for the Tremonton Facility includes the recent implementation of the Marel Food Systems SensorX Bone Detection unit. The incorporation of this equipment into the West Liberty Foods processes further demonstrates the company’s dedication and commitment to food safety.
