
West Liberty Foods, L.L.C. and Iowa State University co-sponsored a Food Safety Conference October 14-15, 2008 at the Iowa State University Meat Laboratory in Ames, Iowa. Each company in attendance received a complimentary copy of West Liberty Foods' Introductory Food Safety Training Instructor's Guide Book and CD containing the PowerPoint presentations.
In 2003, West Liberty Foods, L.L.C. formed a partnership with Iowa State University to provide Food Safety Traning to its employees. West Liberty Foods feels strongly that "food safety is not proprietary." "Whenever a poultry or meat processor has a food safety issue, it has a negative effect on not only that company but the entire industry."
