Responsible for providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, dispensing over the counter medications, performing required health assessments for specified programs. Other duties include, conducting required screening tests such as drug testing, audiometric testing, maintaining OSHA, state, and team member health records, and participating in plant safety and ergonomic programs. Other responsibilities include, assisting with team member health promotion, education and training programs, and identifying workers' compensation cases, assisting with maintenance and documentation of workers' compensation files, and performing other duties as the need arises. Perform varied nursing procedures and treatment in all areas of team member health services.
Requirements
- Paramedic/EMT License or Registered Nurse License is required.
- Ability to read, speak and write both English and Spanish fluently is preferred.
- Previous experience in patient care setting is necessary.
- Current CPR/First Aid instructor certification a bonus. Standard computer skills including generating simple letters and spreadsheets.
- Communication, problem-solving and organizational skills desired.
- Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results and coordinating with others.
- Must be able to work 2nd shift.
