The Leadership Award is presented to a company leader who is directly involved in the SUBWAY® business. Starting with a detailed understanding of Subway’s® supply chain strategy, these individuals, (often times owners, corporate executive officers or company presidents), get involved in assisting and motivating others, as well as implementing process and product improvements which "change the game" within the supply chain.  

The award was presented at the 2007 SUBWAY® Convention in Orlando, Florida on August 1, 2007 with the following message to the audience:  

“This year's recipient of the leadership award was presented to someone who consistently shows a dedication to the SUBWAY® system and vision to bring about positive change. Through his leadership, WEST LIBERTY FOODS has been instrumental in developing innovative programs such as redistribution, and a protein strategy, for the benefit of SUBWAY® Franchisees. He is the driving force within a company that has consistently proven themselves as a valued partner within the SUBWAY chain.
