West Liberty Foods, L.L.C. of West Liberty , Iowa and Norbest, Inc., based in Midvale, Utah , have announced that effective May 1, 2006 , the companies will be joining forces in an alliance of their sales and marketing functions. In making the announcement, Ed Garrett , President and CEO for West Liberty Foods said: "We believe that by establishing a marketing alliance between West Liberty Foods and Norbest, that we will improve the capacity of both our companies which will allow us to enhance our ability to provide excellent products and services to all of our collective customers." John Hall, President and CEO for Norbest, Inc. stated: "Norbest has a long history of providing turkeys and turkey products to the retail and food service markets, and we feel this alliance will better position us for the future."

Norbest® products will continue to be processed by Norbest cooperative members located in Utah and Nebraska . Production, processing, sales, distribution, and other services to customers will continue unchanged and uninterrupted during and after the transition period. All contracts, commitments, and sales & marketing programs currently in place will be fulfilled with minimal interruption.

West Liberty Foods, L.L.C. is a leading co-packer, foodservice supplier, and private label manufacturer of sliced processed meat and poultry products.
